This last year, I found myself with 2 Fjord geldings that were in that limbo of not being riden as my 19yro daughter no longer wanted to ride and I wasn't able to find the right owner here in California. I had heard that Patti Jo worked with Fjords and was a top knotch Fjord trainer and marketing gal. I contacted her to see if she could work with Arne and Sebastian and offer them for sale for me.

Very shortly thereafter, they were on the trailer heading to Francis Creek Fjords, Two Rivers, Wisconsin and a new chapter in their lives. Patti took care of all the proper papers for a successful partnership as she would polish up their skills and offer them for sale. I was very impressed with her professionalism from the beginning all the way through to the final sales agreements and papers.

As Patti Jo worked with them, she kept me updated of issues and accomplishments and even posted photos on her website and videos on YouTube. Her marketing skills are so great with all of today's technology that she draws business her way and has buyers from all over the country inquiring. In the six months Arne was with her, there must have been a dozen interested parties.

If you are selling a Fjord, trained or untrained, I would tell you to contact her as she has accomplished the sale of Fjords over and over again so she doesn't have to take time to learn about Fjords and then work with them. She knows all their mind sets; games they play on us and their true potential. Her staff rides according to her duties list and each horse goes through their daily routine. They are taken to shows for experience and exposure and to Patti it is all in a days work. She only works with Fjords and she's great.

I was so pleased when Patti found the right buyer for Arne, actually after she re'introduced him to driving and as I watched them on her YouTube video, he loved it. I hadn't driven him since my daughter was into Pony Club and eventing but when I watched her patience with him, hitching and driving I could tell he remembered right away. It's like she knew to give him time to absorb it and he would do as he was asked. That great Fjord brain at work. Thus his new family is driving and may even be in the World Competition or Special Olympics. So now I am Fjord'less but more important, Arne & Sebastian are with families who will use them to their wonderful Fjord potential giving them that great job ethic they love.

I wanted to write this because I should have sent my boys to Patti sooner but I was hanging on hoping Abbey would ride more. Don't wait, let your Fjord find that special next family.
